Teenagers Dedicate Summertime Structure Shed To stop Theft

One list of El Paso teens used their last weekends’ of summer guaranteeing children won’t feel much more loss compared to they have already got.
After four weekends on the job, Troop 4 took their last steps in the ladders to construct a shed.
“Last year, a number of kids jumped a gate and stole bike from your kids,” said Marco Zamora.
At the start of 2010, the Child Crisis Center had 50 bikes, but by May they only had eight.
Bikes were quickly donated. With minimal space for storing the modern bikes had no choice but to generally be overlooked on view plus in the weather. That may be where Zamora and his Boy Scout troop from west El Paso also come in.
“I’ve done a variety of things right here at the little one Crisis Center with my church and I like the organization,” said Zamora.
He also likes the Thanksgiving Day parade.
“It became a gingerbread house produced for a parade float for Thanksgiving,” said Zamora.
That float has been transformed into your shed that may keep your bikes safe. Zamora admits they did not apply it alone.
“We got donations between several donations in El Paso,” he explained.
They received everything from monetary donations to wood and paint from Lowes; shingles from Frontier Roofing’s along with the list keeps going.
However, it has been the times of day of work put in place by Troop 4 that may contain the shed ready by Monday morning and prior to the teens head back to school knowing they did not waste their summer.
“There’s better things in everyday life than playing video games,” he said.
Like donning the final coat of paint and unveiling your shed towards the foster kids who can now sleep tight knowing their bikes will not be stolen again.
“It’ll be rewarding because I recognize your kids will require to it and this will profit the crisis center,” he explained.
Zamora said they’re taking a look at doing other projects in the community.
